EXP Monthly was started by Filbert with the help of many of his online friends. I’ve always valued communities and in my many years playing games online I have developed lasting friendships. EXP Monthly is a project I’ve wanted to start for many reasons.

I want to have a foundation to continue to stay engaged in online friendships. Often many friendships are built around a game or community. Which as the game ages and isn’t played as much or certain communities online fade away so can those friendships. Having a club this this I hope encourages continued online friendships. And this club isn’t focused on a specific game or online creator.

In my many years playing games I have found that talking about games is just as fun as playing them. Whether it is sharing thoughts about game design, differences in opinions about narrative choices, or how certain games have lasting impacts. The discussion around games is rewarding.

Finally I believe EXP Monthly will be a great way to experience games. Whether it is revisiting a classic, playing something on a backlog, or discovering a game I would of never played until it was selected as the EXP Game of the month.
